North and southbound traffic was moved to the outside lanes to allow for construction in the median. Special accommodations included keeping one lane of STH 57 open to traffic in each direction; keeping side roads open within the work area; grading work performed under archeological supervision near the Lyndon Cemetery; and coordination with the Village of Adell for insulation of a sanitary sewer force main. Also special accommodations were made to accommodate for Holiday traffic and local race events at Road of America by having a “no work, no haul” provision by the contractor along or across any portion of the highway carrying STH57 traffic. The project was completed without utility conflict and with the utmost concern for keeping the property owners safe and informed.
